Hopes For Ceasefire Dim - Gaza

Palestinians inspect the damage to buildings after Israeli shelling stops in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. In August the UN said 10 months of war in Gaza has left 42M tons of debris in the territory and removing it is expected to cost as much as $700M and will take many years. As an uneasy truce between Israel and Hezbollah offers the Lebanese a desperately needed reprieve, Palestinians in Gaza feel abandoned, even as the US pushes for a renewed effort to end the fighting in the enclave.
